Aerospace Project

 

The Aerospace Project, was a massive integrated project. Integrated meaning that we worked on it in multiple classes. We worked on parts of the project in Science, Math, English, History, Language Arts, and Chinese. In this group project, we formed our own company. This company sold bottle rockets. In Science we built and launched the bottle rockets, in Math we used trigonometry to calculate the height of our rockets. In English and History we worked on the business side of the company, creating brochures, the mission an vision statement, logo, working our economics out, and other important documents for the company. In Chinese we created a flyer about our company in Chinese.

 

My favorite part of this project was in Science. I want to be a mechanical engineer when I grow up. Building and testing the design of our rocket was very cool. The quality I used the most in this project was collaboration. This project was different then any other project I have done. There was much to do and only a few weeks to do it. I had to rely on my group to do their work, and make sure I did my work. My group worked very well together. Everyone worked hard, did their homework, and were active/participating in the project. Although we worked well together, there were still conflicting opinions at times. We as a group had to work out our differences, come to a compromise, and continue working. I feel that overall this project was a very good learning experience for me.
